Some leaks stay invisible from the inside for years
Water that "drips" through a roof soaks into the frame. By the time a small ripple appears in the ceiling wallpaper, the damage underneath can be enormous — on one 2001 Jayco, over $10,000 of it. A 1984 Terry Taurus went the same way and was rebuilt from the structure out.
After seeing what a full reconstruction takes, most owners stop putting off the small roof job.
